Where the twist in each episode is that a broker's staff believe they are being interviewed by an independent consultant for a corporate video. Only Insurance Age and the broker firm's boss know that they are actually been spoken to be a senior member of Zurich's personal's lines team.
The brokers are also unaware that one of them will be hand-picked by the Zurich representative in each episode as a winner, receiving an iPad for their efforts.
Each of these standout employees will also be in the running to be crowned the overall champion of The Undercover Insurer, with a £1500 personal development fund up for grabs for the person who most impresses the Zurich personal lines management.
In the launch episode, Gareth McChesney, the director of personal lines pricing & underwriting at Zurich, went undercover at Autoline's Newry headquarters to speak to staff about everything from issues with overly prescriptive data validation checks to innovation and value of good customer service.
