Innovation brings new threats
Modern businesses can't afford to stand still, yet innovation brings its own risks. This report looks at three main areas of concern: Energy, Information and Systemic risks. Forward-looking risk management must accept that renewable energy projects are inherently risky and increasingly complex, that data loss or theft is a growing problem as more information is shared, and that new technology can exacerbate problems caused by natural disasters, as in Fukushima. The report ends by considering how the risk management function needs to adapt to ensure resilience is built and maintained.
